The Production Manager is tasked with supervising the entire production process to guarantee efficient, timely, and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality fashion products. This role includes managing the production team, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring all production activities adhere to the brand's standards and strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Guide, mentor, and nurture the production team to cultivate a culture of ongoing improvement.
Create and implement detailed production schedules that correspond with demand forecasts.
Oversee all elements of production, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products.
Assess and monitor production performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and deadlines.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a dependable supply chain. Evaluate supplier performance and take corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with the QC Manager to develop and uphold quality control procedures that ensure all products meet established standards.
Manage and supervise the production budget, promoting cost-effective manufacturing practices.
Regularly evaluate and enhance production processes to boost efficiency and minimize waste.
Partner with inventory and logistics teams to guarantee the timely and efficient movement of materials and finished goods.
Fine-tune inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all production activities.
Conduct regular health and safety training sessions and perform audits.
Monitor and analyze key production metrics, providing consistent reports to senior management.
Leverage data-driven insights to continually refine production strategies and performance.
Skills + Experience
At least 5-7 years of experience in production management within the fashion or luxury retail sector.
Demonstrated success in overseeing efficient and high-quality production processes.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Comprehensive knowledge of production processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment and maintenance of strong supplier relationships.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
